There was this guy running for governor of
Texas a while back (Clayton Williams) who
suggested that  ... rape is like the
weather. If ya can't do nothing about it,
ya might as well lie back and enjoy it. I
suspect he was really old school, the sort
of good ol' boy who would contend that any
one who got raped was probably asking for
it. Ya know like wearing party panties
under your skirt to a Frat house during
rush week (or getting involved with a
women). Partly because of inane comments
such as that, he lost the election to Ann
Richards.
