It's like they went to Sales101 and one of the first lessons was "to establish a rapport with your client/buyer/mark/target and make them more likely to buy what you're selling, remember their name and use it often!" I deal with sales reps on a regular basis, and the clueless and pushy ones have a habit of doing this. It makes me want to not do business with them. I know my name, damn it, so stop repeating it!
