Radiation Tattoo Removal Options?

When the radiation technician went to put on my tattoos, I asked to
see how the side ones looked before accepting the conspicuous one in
the middle.  The side ones were teeny and insignificant, so I said to
go ahead with the middle one.

You guessed it, that middle one turned out much bigger, darker and
uglier.  I called the only laser dermatology place in the area, and
they want $265 to remove that thing!  Is there any other way to get
rid of this grim reminder?
