British registrar EASYSPACE LIMITED

1. introduction

Easyspace Limited, which sells retail as Easyspace and wholesale
as EasyNIC, is involved in e-commerce as an Internet domain registrar.
Easyspace, working with Internet domain registries (for example,
Afilias), sells and renews domain names. Easyspace sells over the Web
using Web forms at its Web site. Easyspace also sells some related
services such as webhosting, Easysafe, and Easypost email service.

In the course of these activities, Easyspace has done serious
crime (according to American law). For example, Easyspace stole.
Easyspace made statements about this which contradicted each other as
well as the truth. There is clear evidence. Defamatory truth is legal.
Truthful defamation is legal. One of the Web's great features is
widespread dissemination of information about Internet crime; for
example, Easyspace theft. We have the legal right to truthfully report
that theft on the Web.

In some jurisdictions, not necessarily any in Europe, it may,
under some circumstances, be illegal for a criminal to try to prevent
the criminal's victim from reporting the crime.

This webpage is entirely consistent with WIPO, ICANN, and the law.
In one form or another, this theft report has been on the Web for years.

An ethical response by Easyspace might include notifying all
customers of how the theft was done so that they could check to see if
they, too, are theft victims. Easyspace seems not to have provided such
customer notice yet. We are not aware of an attempt by Easyspace to find
out the number of victims and the extent of the harm. An ethical
response by Easyspace also might include an investigation to find out
which Easyspace personnel are involved. We don't know if Easyspace has
had such an investigation done yet.

There is a kind of audit in which an auditor prepares a financial
report based solely on the client's records. There is a kind of audit in
which an auditor prepares a financial report based on, in addition to
the client's records, evidence which the client does not create or
control. Maybe Easyspace has had the former kind of audit.

Easyspace has company number 03405586, British VAT number GB
730736444, A.D.P. number 0787885001, and four British trademarks:
EASYSPACE (trademark number 2233391), EASYNIC (2272188), EASYPOST
(2349930A), and Easypost (2349930B). Easyspace's principal place of
business was long at 2 Park Court, Pyrford Road (near Old Woking Road),
West Byfleet town, Surrey county, England, KT14 6SD, United Kingdom.
West Byfleet is in southeast England. Easyspace has an office at Lister
Pavillion, Kelvin (not Todd) Campus, West of Scotland Science Park,
Glasgow, Scotland, G20 0SP (near Maryhill Road and River Kelvin), United
Kingdom. This is the headquarters address of Iomart Group PLC, which
owns Easyspace. The address of Easyspace's registered office is
EASYSPACE LIMITED, LANCASTER BUSINESS PARK, CATON ROAD, LANCASTER (a
city in Lancashire county in northwest England), LA1 3RQ. This may be
southwest of the intersection of the M6 and A683 highways. We think that
a British company's registered address is not necessarily the site of
the company's headquarters or principal place of business. Easyspace
supposedly has an office in Bangkok, Thailand, which develops software
and sells but we don't know the street address. Easyspace servers
sometimes have the word "easyspace" or "easypost" in their names. One
of
Easyspace's email addesses is hostmaster@easyspace.com.

In about March 2003 according to Business Wire, Easysapce CEO Erik
Young said, "We [Easyspace] have opened offices in Asia ...." We
(ajmunn.com) are unaware of those Asian offices' contact information;
for example, their street addresses, telephone numbers, and fax numbers.

Easyspace's customer assistance office is in Glasgow, not West
Byfleet. On 15 November 2006, a whois of easyspace.com yielded
NS2.EASYSPACE.COM 62.128.193.201. A whois of that I.P. number yielded:
person Richard Mcmahon, address IOMART Ltd. in Glasgow. Iomart's
operations director Sarah Haran, has been operations director and
managing director of Easyspace. She works in Glasgow. The October 2006
announcement of Easyspace's recent "partnership" with Fotalia included
remarks by Haran but not by anyone in West Byfleet. Thus, Easyspace's
operations director and managing direcctor Haran, Easyspace's customer
service, and at least one of Easyspace's name server are in Glasgow, at
or near Iomart headquarters.

Easyspace is a private, limited company which is owned by and
integrated into Iomart Group PLC (London AIM: IOM), which is
headquartered in Lister Pavilion, Kelvin Campus, West of Scotland
Science Park, Glascow, Scotland G20 0SP. Iomart Group PLC has company
number SC204560 and was incorporated on 28 February 2000.

2. Easyspace people

None of the Easyspace people named below necessarily did wrong
although Easyspace did.
1. Erik Young (possibly Erik J. Young) was Easyspace's CEO at
all times during the Easyspace theft. At that time, Easyspace was a
small company (about 17 employees) operating out of an office near his
home. On 29 January 2003, RightNow Technologies website said that he
co-founded Easyspace and remains "... actively involved in the company's
activities.". At Easyspace, his job title is CEO. Any inquiry into this
matter should not omit him.

He may have lived at Madgehole, "Madgehold Lane", Shamley
Green, GU5 0SS, UK. That English addess possibly may be Madgehole Lane,
Shamley Green GU5 0, GB. That address, which may be on a dead end street
near Farley Heath Road, is about a 14.12 mile drive to the Pyrford Road
office.

Another, possible address of Erik Young may have been LAKE
CLOSE 9, KT14 7AE, WEST BYFLEET, Surrey, England, GB; phone 01932400684.
This address is on a dead end street north of Parvis Road and east of
M25 highway. This address is about a 1.43 mile (4 minute) drive from
Easyspace's Pyrford Road address.

The West Byfleet area of England, which is where Erik Young
seems to live, is far from Glasgow.

2. Samuel Marshall "Sam" Evans was director of Easyspace during
at least some of the theft. His recent address may have been 32 St.
Leonards Terrace, London, SW3 4QG, UK. This English address seems to be
32 Saint Leonards Terrace (near Burton's Court), London SW3 4, GB.

Evans has been an American lawyer. A person with the same
name as Evans gradulated from America's University of Virginia Law
School. His email address may have been sam@easyspace.com.

On 29 January 2003, RightNow Technologies website said that
he co-founded Easyspace and remains "... actively involved in the
company's activities.". We don't know what Easyspace activities he
remained actively involved in in January 2003. He was born 18 February
1936. London, where he seems to live, is far from West Byfleet and even
further from Glasgow. We don't know how much Evans knows about computers
and the Internet; for example, the software used by a domain registrar.

3. Names and recent addresses of a few people who have been
both directors or high-ranking executives of Iomart, and directors of
Easyspace, are:
1. Moir

Stewart Moir; born 25 September 1954; occupation
ACCOUNTANT; possible address 28 BLANTYRE GARDENS (near route B8048),
CUMBERNAULD, GLASGOW, LANARKSHIRE, G68 9NJ, UK; telephone 01236 722626.
This Scottish address seems to be 28 Blantyre Gardens, Cumbernauld G68
9, GB. This address is about a 16.81 mile drive from Easyspace's West of
Scotland Science Park, a distance which might take about 30 minutes to
drive.

Another, possible address may be Stewart Moir, 17b
Drummore Road, GLASGOW G15 7XU, Scotland UK.

2. Haran

On 22 November 2006, Sarah Haran, who is mentioned
above on this page, seems, in our opinion, to be an important part of
Easyspace and Iomart management.

Sarah Haran; born 27 July 1965; possible address 8 LOW
ROAD, CASTLEHEAD, PAISLEY, RENFREWSHIRE, PA2 6AG, UK. This Scottish
address seems to be 8 Low Road (near George Street and Craw Road),
Castlehead PA2 6, GB. This address is about a 10.67 mile drive from
Easyspace's West of Scotland Science Park, a distance which might take
about 25 minutes to drive.

Another address at which she may have lived is NEWTYLE
ROAD 25, PA1 3JU, PAISLEY; telephone 0141-5618267. Another form of this
address is 25 Newtyle Road, Paisley, PA1 3, GB. This address is south of
Glasgow Road and east of Alton Road. This address is about a 7.58 mile
(22 minute) drive from Easysapce's West of Scotland Science Park office.

She has been operations director of Easyspace and
Iomart. As Iomart's operations director, her email address has been
sarah@nicnames.co.uk. Iomart bought Nicnames.

Someone named "Sarah A. HARAN" may have lived at
BEAMSLEY WALK 19, BD9 4SW BRADFORD; telephone 01274780706. Another form
of this address may be Beamsley Road, Bradford BD9 4, Devon (a county in
southwest England), GB. This address is near Patent Street. This Haran
is not necesssarily affiliated with Easyspace or Iomart.

3. Macsween

Angus Macsween; born 27 July 1956; address 5
ELLERGREEN ROAD, BEARSDEN, GLASGOW, LANARKSHIRE, G61 2RJ, UK. This
address seems to be 5 Ellergreen Road (near Station Road and Drymen
Road), Bearsden G61 2, GB. There may be a speed camera on Drymen Road.
That Ellergreen address seems to be about a 1.46 mile drive from
Easyspace's West of Scotland Science Park, a distance which might take
about 4 minutes to drive. He is CEO and may own about a fourth of
Iomart.

4. Richard Mcmahon

On 15 November 2006, a whois of easyspace.com yielded
NS2.EASYSPACE.COM 62.128.193.201. A whois of that I.P. number yielded:
person Richard Mcmahon, address IOMART Ltd. in Glasgow. He may posibly
be MCMAHON RICHARD, MERRYFLATS 17, G65 9QR, GLASGOW, Lanarkshire,
Scotland, GB; telephone 01236825387. This address is near the Forth and
Clyde Canal, Park Avenue, and Alexander Avenue. This address is about a
12.03 mile (26 minute) drive from Iomart's West of Scotland Science Park
office.

5. Martin Lines

Work telephone 44-07-776-498-763,
martin.lines@easyspace.com. Telephone country code 44 is the UK's. We
guess that maybe the "07" part of the telephone number indicates inner
London. He has been Easyspace's COO (chief operating officer).

Easyspace's COO should be distinguished from Easyspace's
operations director and manaaging director (Sarah Haran, in Glasgow).
Lines has an accounting background. Easyspace's COO Martin Lines is not
necessarily Easyspace's contact Martin Lines, who is mentioned below.

Carefully distinguish Easyspace officers mentioned in this
website (for example, COO Martin Lines) from other people who may have
the same name.
6. Khun Vorapoth, telephone 66-02-670-0040, email
vorapoth@easyspace.com. Thailand has telephone country code 66. Vorapoth
has been intrested in Asia.

7. Easyspace contact

Janet F. Ludley Janet@easyspace.com

8. Yeah, but is it art?

On 4 November 2006 at yeahbutisitart.com website, there is a
page, "Easyspace are a bad company", the bottom of which seems to list
some people who may have been Easyspace contact people. Contact people
and the kinds of contact they were (admin, tech, billing) according to
that list include:
1. Erik J. Young (email martin.lines@easyspace.com) admin
billing tech

Notice that Erik J. Young may, at least for whois
contact purposes, have used Martin Lines's contact email address.

2. Alex Coke-Smyth (email alex@easyspace.com) admin tech

3. Martin Lines (email martin.lines@easyspace.com) admin
billing tech

Easyspace's contact Martin Lines and Easyspace's COO
Martin Lines are not necessarily the same person. Carefully distinguish
Easyspace contacts mentioned in this website (for example, contact
Martin Lines) from other people who may have the same name.

One of Easyspace's Martin Lines, either the contact
Martin Lines or the COO Lines, recently may possibly have lived at
Martin P Lines, 228 Station Road, ADDLESTONE KT15 2PH, England UK.

4. Ben Wrigley (email thomas@easyspace.com) admin tech.
Notice that "thomas", not "ben" or "wrigley", is in Ben
Wrigley's email
address.

Ben Wrigley, 25 Baker Street, WEYBRIDGE, Surrey, KT13
8AE, England UK

Ben Wrigley, 16 Camden Cottages, Church Walk WEYBRIDGE
KT13 8JT, England UK

5. Samuel M. Evans (email sam@easyspace.com) billing. He
may have been director and part-owner of Easysapce.

>!-- end contacts --> That webpage also provides a telephone
number that Easyspace may once have had, +44 1932 356454.

9. customer assistance

We don't know where the customer assistance office is. It
possibly may be in Glasgow (near iomart headquarters), not in West
Byfleet.

1. Alistair Bell

2. Douglas Chown

Douglas I Chown, 38 Clarence Gardens, GLASGOW G11 7JN,
Scotland UK; phone 0141 357 6735. See Fraser Chown, below.

3. Fraser Chown

Fraser D Chown, 38 Clarence Gardens, GLASGOW G11 7JN,
Scotland UK, phone 0141 357 6735. See Douglas Chown, above.

4. Shelagh Hodgson (female)

5. Andrew Lennon

6. Colin Mackay

7. Richard Spence

3. similarly named corporations

Easyspace Limited, which we discuss above, should be distinguished
from Easyspace (Birmingham) Limited, which may be dormant, and Easyspace
UK Limited, which dissolved. Iomart Group PLC, which we discuss above,
should be disctingusihed from
IOMART LIMITED, which is at LISTER PAVILLION, KELVIN CAMPUS, WEST
OF SCOTLAND SCIENCE PARK, GLASGOW G20 0SP (same address as Iomart Group
PLC and Easyspace Limited), company number SC275629.
Iomart Limited was previously named NETINTELLIGENCE LIMITED and
PACIFIC SHELF 1285 LIMITED.

4. Everyone.net

Easyspace's Easypost email service was outsourced to Everyone.net
(which is in San Jose, California), according to an 8 December 2003
press release of Jessie Brumfiel jbrumfiel@neoterragroup.com and also
according to an article by Alex Goldman (ISP-Planet Associate Editor) of
8 January 2004. According to those sources, Easypost email is processed
by America's Everyone.net. There are credible reports that the American,
federal government's NSA (National Security Agency) surveils and saves
email that is in America. Therefore, the NSA seems to surveil and save
email going to or from all Easypost accounts. Furthermore, some of those
reports (about NSA's surveiling and saving email) say that the NSA has a
special interest in email entering or leaving America. According to our
understanding of Easyspace's outsourcing to Eveyone.net, all Easypost
email enters or leaves America.

The domain, pearts.ie, is an example of Everyone.net's connection
to Easyspost. On about 2 March 2005, whoisireland.com studied Irish
domain pearts.ie. Pearts.ie's nameservers were Easyspace's
ns3.easypost.com and ns1.easypost.com. Pearts.ie's mailserver was
Everyone.net's ismtp.easyspace.everyone.net. The website (www.pearts.ie)
was hosted in the United States with I.P. address 216.167.114.177 and
webserver: Zeus/3.3, according to that study. According to
whois.domaintools.com on 9 July 2006, that I.P. address is directly
allocated to NTT America, Inc. (in Centennial, Colorado, America), which
may be a subsidiary of Japan's Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. That
webserver I.P. address supposedly is in the vicinity of Englewood,
Colorado. However, according to geobytes.com on 10 July 2006, there is a
certainty of 55 that that I.P. address is in the District of Columbia.
Coloarado and the District of Columbia are in America. On 9 July 2006,
attempts to reach www.pearts.ie evoked a 404 error notice from
Easyspace's www.easynic.com.

According to whoisireland.com, lvd.ie on about 2 March 2005 had
pearts.ie's Everyone.net mailserver, pearts.ie's NTT America webserver
in America, and pearts.ie's Easypost DNS servers.

When Easyspace provides webhosting to its customers who have
Easypost DNS servers, some of that webhosting may use NTT America I.P.
address 216.167.114.177 and webserver Zeus/3.3 in the vicinity of
Englewood, Colorado.

On 10 July 2006, we did a reverse DNS lookup of that I.P. address.
The number was associated with linux1184b.easyspace.com. That reverse
lookup yielded 56 domains, none of them in the .ie TLD (unlike the Irish
domains mentioned above). We spot-checked a few of those 56 domains.
Those few had British owners and a connection to Easyspace.

5. a few, Easypost customers

1. iam*.com

Some domains have the name pattern "iam*.com". In other
words, the name starts with "iam" and is in the .com TLD (top-level
domain). Here is a list, accurate as of 18 October 2005, of domain names
in a list made by 111111z of
thelongestdomainnamesthelongestdomainnamesthelongestdomainnames.com, of
such domains with an Easypost DNS (domain name server).

1. IAM-LLP NS NS1.EASYPOST
2. IAM-PUBLICATIONS NS NS1.EASYPOST
3. IAM-PUBLISHING NS NS1.EASYPOST
4. IAM30 NS NS1.EASYPOST
5. IAMBIC-ASSOCIATES NS NS1.EASYPOST
6. IAMFOUREYES NS NS1.EASYPOST

By the way, a whois of this domain on 10 July 2006
yields registrar Easyspace, name server NS3.EASYPOST.COM, and I.P.
address 84.22.184.20. That number is assigned to Iomart, Todd Campus
(not Kelvin Campus), West of Scotland Science Park. A reverse I.P. shows
52,566 other sites hosted on that server. According to geobytes.com on
10 July 2006, there is a certainty of 90 that that I.P. address is in
Bremen, Germany.

2. hhce.ie

This domain on 2 March 2005 had Easypost DNS:
ns1.easypost.com and ns3.easypost.com.

By the way, according to whoisireland.com, ns1.easypost.com
was authoritative for 12 .ie domains on 2 March 2005. Looked at in
isolation, this fact (only 12 domains) may suggest that Easyspace had a
low level of market penetration in Ireland.

6. Get a solicitor.

What should you do if Easyspace steals from you? Email, telephone,
postal mail, and fax communication (from you and a non-British lawyer to
the relevant Internet domain registry and Easyspace) have some value. By
far, the most productive approach is an English solicitor's postal
letter sent by recorded delivery to Easyspace, with a copy to the
relevant Internet domain registry.

We don't recommend complaining to British, local police. They seem
much less interested in investigating companies which are cybercriminals
than individual people who are. Some British, local, police officers who
investigate cybercrime may have little expertise in that area and thus
may waste your time because they are limited to the most primitive kinds
of cybercrime. Glasgow's SPD (Strathclyde Police Department) has
problems.

7. spam

Australias's quivamail.com sends spam for Easyspace. Compared to
Easyspace crime, quivamail.com's Easyspace spam email advertising is a
relatively minor annoyance. For example, long after you have completely
ended all relation with Easyspace, quivamail.com will send you email
"warning" you that renewals of Easyspace services are due and lying that
you are an "Easyspace customer". Quivamail.com's relentless Easyspace
spam is different from marriage because the spam is for life. :-)

As far as we know, every URL in quivamail.com's Easyspace spam
connects to an Easyspace website with tracking software that records the
opening of spam email messages regardless of whether any links are
clicked.

Quivamail.com sends spam without permission from the spam
recipient. If someone (who gets spam from quivamail.com) tells
quivamail.com to stop sending the spam, quivamail.com continues sending
the spam. Furthermore, quivamail.com lied that it is unable to stop
sending spam to a recipient unless the recipient tells quivamail.com
which quivamail.com customer had the spam sent.

Iomart, including Easyspace, is, among other things, an ISP,
registrar, and webhost. Why is quivamail.com paid to send Easyspace's
spam? Why doesn't Iomart save money by sending the spam itself?

Quivamail.com's Easyspace spam is sent to email addresses supplied
by Easyspace. Why does Iomart (or the Easyspace part of Iomart) entrust
those email addresses, which most businesses would treat as a trade
secret, to an unrelated company (namely, quivamail.com, which sends the
spam)?

8. other sources of information

Easyspace Sucks (easyspace-sucks.com) website has interesting
information and links. In the webhostingtalk.com website, Headnewbie
wrote on 31 July 2001, "... they [Easyspace] ripped my money off ..."
when Headnewbie tried to buy a domain. To rip off is to steal. We do not
know the details of Headnewbie's theft accusation. We do not know how
much, if any, of the accusation is true.
