They didn't succeed. When the oil boom petered out back in the late
70's, they retreated.

I doubt they would have renamed it at all. They lost a ton of money when
they vacated. Took 20 years for the values to reach new highs, and they
got sucked in again.

The locals were only too happy to take their money before raising
property taxes, forcing more than a few into bankruptcy.

Of course, most of them Texans were already treading water, what with
their "fortunes" being invested in Enron stock or buying their way into
Scientology.
