this day. Ford's new assembly line could produce a complete car every
two-and-a-half minutes. The efficiency and speed of Ford's production
lines allowed the company to sell cars for less than any competitor.

Antarctica made a military-free continent

Twelve nations, including the United States and the Soviet Union, sign
the Antarctica Treaty, which bans military activity and weapons testing
on that continent. It was the first arms control agreement signed in the
