I have seen the " perverted " habits in Belgium where a dog was liking
shit it found in the park and then it was liking the face of its owner.
The dogs owner saw that the dog was liking shit before liking his face
and on many occasions I have seen cats liking their ass and then liking
the face of their owner.
No thanks. I rather be called " uncivilized then to let my face be liked
by an shit liking, ass liking animal.

What you don't understand is that in Greece not all cats or dogs are pets.
Many of them are only partly domestic animals if at all and they live
and die often like wild animals.
In the wild if an animal gets a bad territory it will die on hunger.
Many cats and dogs do just that in Greece.
As many birds and rats.
Now you use the term " companion " animal.
That's were you cultural bias lies.
That's why you care less of cows or chickens.
Torturing an animal is wrong.
I agree with you there.
The Greeks should kill all street animals.
Any animal without clear verification to who it belongs should be killed
on the spot.
So it's suffering would end.
Also people wouldn't get bitten anymore by straining animals.
