???? Ottawa homestay for Korean and Japanese students, ESL welcome!

A quiet, friendly study house where you cook your own meals. Seven
minutes to walk to great grocery shopping. It's like homestay for
grown-ups. Homestay mum is Canadian, of British heritage, a freelance
children's writer and copy editor, interested in South Korean and
Japanese cultures and cuisine, and happy to help with ESL homework
questions or practice with English conversation.

I host two students at a time. Each student has her own private
bedroom upstairs. I presently have openings for April 1 and July 13 in
2008.

Enjoy a furnished bedroom (including bedding, large desk, lamp, TV,
radio, dresser, mirror, small bookcase, large closet with hangers),
fully equipped kitchen and large dining room (cook whatever you like
whenever you like), living room with a stereo and a good piano that
you are welcome to play, two bathrooms, a laundry room, and a back
yard with patio table and chairs.

One-minute walk to the bus stop.
Two-minute walk to a natural creek and a hiking path with a park at
either end.
Ten-minute walk to an indoor pool.
Seven-minute walk to Giant Tiger, Farm Boy, dollar store, Tim
Horton's, KFC.
Ten-minute bus ride to South Keys Mall (Loblaws, Wal-Mart, Chapters,
Starbucks, Second Cup, Staples, Bulk Barn and more).

Safe, family neighbourhood. Quiet, peaceful household. Close to O-
Train for Carleton University students; on bus routes 40, 142 and 144.
Near Bank Street and Rosebella, K1T 1T7. Allergy warning: House
contains two friendly cats and an occasional smoker. Rent is $440 per
month per room including heat, electricity, local phone, cable TV and
wireless Internet, and some amenities such as dish soap and toilet
paper. Females only, must be at least eighteen years old. The minimum
stay is 3 months. The last month's rent is required in advance: half
($220) to reserve the room and the other half on arrival.
