Greg "recovered memories" are not intrinsically false. The issue is HOW
a memory is recovered that makes it HIGHLY SUSPECT. This "memory recovery
therapy" has been shot full of holes. In the first place it has NEVER been
scientifically documented to be at all accurate. But beyond the fact that
the idiots like Morgan who trumpet it have never been able to adequately
prove it's accuracy, the REAL STUDIES  that have examined it have shown that
they are NOT reliable and for that reason many courts won't allow that kind
of testimony. In addition when you look at WHO is doing it, it is generally
para-professionals like Social Workers whose "scientific method" is the use
of a process known as "Ventification."

Time warp back about a year and the argument I had with Killer Kane and
Sullivan on science. They were unable to understand. In the scientific
method a "double blind" study is preferred. Where neither the subject nor
the person doing the testing knows what is being investigated. The model you
use to test for what you are studying should be clear and relevant. Then
statistics comes into play. Replication is the key. Can somebody else do the
same study and come to near identical results. (Remember MY study on the
demographics of child abuse and how many others followed the same procedures
and came to IDENTICAL results.) Your model must pass inspection too. You
can't begin with leading questions or postulates that are self fulfilling.
They must be NEUTRAL. Which is part of what shoots down Mr. Morgan's
religion. It fails external examination.

Here is a FACT to chew on. Initially these recovered memory "sessions"
were videotaped. When those videotapes were examined the process of memory
CONTAMINATION by the "therapists" was clear. For this reason these
"therapists" no longer videotape the sessions. Part of the problem with this
recovered memory "therapy" is that counter-transference is a HUGE HUGE
problem.

In short the burden of proof is on those seeking to ask us or a court to
BELIEVE that this junk is reliable and they have NEVER MET IT! Only at
first, before anyone knew what was going on and looked at it.

In Short Mr. Morgan SHOUTS at us to; "PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN
BEHIND THE CURTAIN!"
