SALT LAKE CITY -- Lawyers for a man accused of shooting and killing
his parents in their Castle

Dale home said he needs to undergo an inpatient mental competency
evaluation.

Peter Sharp, 26, is charged with two counts of aggravated murder in
connection with the deaths of

his parents William and Charmaine last month.

According to the Deseret News, prosecutors backed up the defense in
asking for an in depth

competency evaluation -- including how an injury suffered in a truck
accident as a teen may have

affected Sharp's mental state.
