I wonder if I'd get a different answer if I rearrange and rephrase Tacia's question: Source: Frontier's closure marks passing of a Seattle landmark http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/30466_frontier07.shtml [quote] The Frontier Room is closing. .... .... The partners bought the name of the business, as well as the old neon Frontier Room sign. "It's the best sign in the city; we're keeping it," said Good, who confirmed __yesterday__ that the sale papers were signed. __The new owners are also keeping what they call the bar's "frontier funkiness," but significantly updated.__ The group has hired George Suyama Architects to renovate the interior of the building, which is owned by the Plymouth Housing Group. .... [end quote] So the sentence in question sounds to me the renovation was on-going at the time this article was published.(Or maybe hadn't started yet.) In this sense, the sentence is more like saying " ....(yes, we're keeping "it",) but it is being (or will be) significantly updated". I hope I'm making sense... -- DJ[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
