Air Assault Badge added to Operation RetroActive Recognition The Air Assault badge which is currently limited to personnel who served after 1974 has been added to Operation RetroActive Recognition to permit all US and foreign military and civilian personnel who served on helicopter battlefield transport missions and operations since 1951 to become eligible.
