Be on the lookout for anger or hostility directed at Veterans... Many veterans around the country are currently reporting that they are having problems getting jobs and getting into school. These veterans believe that the problems they are encountering come from individuals in the private and academic sector who are anti-military and anti-war. The rising level of resistance veterans today are currently experiencing is similar to the administrative and sometimes violent hostility directed at Vietnam era veterans in the 1970's and 1980's who also had trouble getting into colleges, or after gaining entry, receiving prejudicial treatment from campus staffers. Military veterans are also finding it harder than their non-military age-groups to find employment. Anti-war anger is always taken out on the veteran when the President and his generals fail to achieve a quick and successful end to hostily and potential threat to America. Growing public anger and frustration over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is due in large part because of the billions of dollars still being directed by the current President who promised in his pre-election campaign speeches to end these expensive and non-productive missions that are creating jobs in Iraq and Afghanistan but are not improving the lives of Americans. All veteran agencies and organizations are asked to keep an alert eye for any complaints registered by veterans who are experiencing problems in getting college enrollment or employment. Veteran' agencies and organization should create and maintain a centralized database of these complaints and their details. This collected data will be highly useful by pro-veteran members of Congress who can and will enact legislation to protect veterans from prejudicial abuse.
